SouthernConnections Web browsing help: Firefox
Web Browsing with Firefox
SouthernConnections recommends that you use the Mozilla Project's Firefox web browser rather than any version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Mozilla browser is also a good choice. Both are free. Neither at its worst moment has had the breadth and depth of security vulnerabilities inflicted by MSIE.
Installation is straightforward.
Step-by-step tutorials and the answers to frequently asked questions are available via the Firefox Help page.
- If you have not already done so, please be sure your Firefox Web browser is up to date. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/releases/ to be sure you have the most recent update.
SouthernConnections currently regards routine use of Microsoft Internet Explorer as a security breach. If you are using any version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, we strongly recommend that you stop doing so immediately and replace it with Firefox.
