McCain the peacemaker
Republican Sen. John McCain spoke honorably to the magnitude of President-elect Barack Obama's accomplishment last night and to the importance working with him.
Restive McCain supporters must have noticed that McCain was gracious to Alaska's Gov. Sarah Palin without promoting her as a future candidate for national office and some were certainly dissatisfied. They knew he could have said more. They knew he could have given her the microphone for a moment if he truly wished to lift her political fortunes.
